It’s playtime!
Grid is a collection of decorative fabrics created in cooperation with designers Anna Łoskiewicz-Zakrzewska and Zofia Strumiłło-Sukiennik. It is an outcome of numerous inspirations: postmodern aesthetics of the 1980s, cinematic worlds of “Wall Street” and “Tron”, first, very schematic computer graphics and cartography.
The common feature of these five decorative velvet fabrics is a printed regular grid motif and a colour gradient effect, changing with the bolt’s height. Each of the fabrics has a different colour scheme connoting one of the following five cities: Warsaw, Beirut, Miami, Naples and Reykjavík. The retro-futuristic quality of the pattern proves to be surprisingly timeless: it will go well with numerous, stylistically diverse interiors, from those inspired by the mid-century style to those in line with the contemporary design. When used in drapes, the wide grid loses its regularity, while the colour gradient lends a touch of three-dimensionality to the entire composition.
