Hidden from view, this incredible house reveals the potential of abandoned buildings not only in Łódź, but all over Poland. Events taking place in such extraordinary interiors allow us to show the possible applications of fabrics in interior design as well as promote fabrics with beautiful, bold patterns counter to the current trends in Poland.
What intrigued us was the venue – an old mansion, which is home to the amazing Book Art Museum and a typography studio. We decided to join in, as fabrics were to play quite an unusual part in the event. All in all, 120 m of Dekoma Charles fabric were used to create 3.5 m high draperies hung around one of the rooms, forming a background for the exhibition of Przemo Łukasik’s photographs.
The draperies corresponded with the furniture (upholstered in patterned fabrics from our partner, Gaston y Daniela) produced by Bejot, Motiv Home and Noti. We used the same fabrics to make over 20 cushions, which were later arranged about the room.
