A drop of cobalt Plenum

Upholstered Sage chairs by The Good Living Co. lend a touch of warmth to the raw, post-industrial interior of Gdańsk’s Plenum café. Clad in our cobalt Henry FR velvet, the rounded contours of the seats and backrests invite guests to settle in with a cup of coffee in hand.

Plenum was founded by a group of Gdańsk residents aiming to breathe new life into the post-industrial areas of the Młode Miasto (en Young City) district. Once home to the Gdańsk Shipyard, today, the old halls and workshops house cafes, pubs, galleries, service points, artistic studios, and small businesses. In this area, on Elektryków Street, you will also find Plenum. This is a place where you can enjoy specialty coffee, have breakfast or lunch, and also do some work. The spacious café bustles with life every day and offers a vibrant array of events. It hosts exhibitions, concerts, performances, creative workshops, author talks, yoga classes, and craft, vintage and fashion fairs.

The interior of Plenum has retained its industrial character and many original elements. The concrete flooring, reinforced concrete pillars, and prominent metal structures are perfectly complemented by a bar clad in chrome steel and neon lights. Plenum’s large windows flood the interior with abundant natural light.

The furniture is mostly lightweight and minimalist, highlighting the spaciousness of the interior. One of the distinctive elements of the décor is the long, white tables with undulating shapes, where café guests can sit on stools or upholstered Sage chairs from the Polish brand The Good Living Co. Upholstered in the woven Henry FR velvet (Cobalt 228), the seats not only ensure comfort but also introduce colour into the monochromatic interior. Cobalt is a colour featured in Plenum’s visual identity – it also appears on the tiled wall behind the bar and on promotional prints.
