PUNTI
Punti is a fabric for upholstering furniture, as well as sewing textile décor elements, such as cushions and bolsters. Its signature feature is a delicate checkerboard pattern created by the interplay of different colours in the weft and warp. With its high wool content, Punti is naturally flame-retardant.
Its thick plain weave creates a fine checkerboard pattern. Depending on the chosen colour variant, Punti can be bold and high contrast, catching the eye with vibrant shades such as yellow, orange, or pink, or it can be harmonious and subtle, perfect for creating calm, neutral interior arrangements (soft beige version). The range also includes solid coloured versions with a more subdued look, available in fashionable hues such as sage and deep bottle green.
With a high 70% proportion of wool, Punti is naturally flame-retardant. This property makes it suitable for use in public spaces such as cafés, restaurants, hotels, and offices, where fire safety is a priority.
This fabric is not only a safe and aesthetically appealing choice, but also a more environmentally responsible one. Sourcing wool from recycled, pre worn garments rather than virgin fibre results in a substantially reduced environmental cost. In this way, CO₂ emissions per kilogram of fibre can be reduced by as much as 94% (according to the Higg Materials Sustainability Index, version 3.6).
Punti’s versatility makes it a perfect solution for upholstered furniture such as sofas, armchairs, pouffes, and chairs, as well as for decorative cushions and bed upholstery. The variety of colour variants allows for bold, contemporary accents that enliven any interior with colourful “pixels” – the inspiration behind its Italian derived name, meaning “points.”
Punti will fit seamlessly into Scandinavian interiors, defined by minimalism and strong colour accents, as well as into Japandi style, which blends Japanese aesthetics with Nordic simplicity.
