Alpaca
The Alpaca collection comprises 2 upholstery fabrics made of alpaca fleece, having all the qualities of this animal-sourced fibre. Alpaca is a monochromatic fabric offered in 7 colour variants, whereas Alpaca Stripes features a pattern in all the colours of the monochromatic version.
Silky soft and delicate to the touch, alpaca wool is warmer than sheep wool, durable and resistant to damage. Alpaca makes an excellent upholstery fabric due to several important qualities: it is naturally flame-retardant and has a high moisture content (up to 30%), which endows it with good anti-static properties.
As products made of alpaca wool are non-sensitising, they provide a perfect solution for allergy sufferers and asthmatics. With almost no lanolin content (i.e. animal grease), alpaca wool is dirt- and mite resistant, as it does not accumulate dust.
The colour palette of this fabric collection, which features the natural colours of the alpaca fleece, comprises subdued, calm hues: from light greys to deep, dark chocolate browns. The fact that Alpaca and Alpaca Stripes are completely undyed makes their production user-friendly and less harmful to the environment.
