“The Big Bun Biters” is an exhibition of paintings by Paweł Śliwiński from Tomasz Pasiek’s collection, which took place during the Warsaw Gallery Week 2019.
Śliwiński combined “historical ways of imaging, from Diego Velazquez to Max Beckmann, using this language to build a subjective, emotional and ironic vision of experiencing life and culture at the beginning of the 21st century. This is autobiographical freestyle painting – on the shoulders of giants”.
The exhibition was presented in the company of our decorative velour fabric - Spring. With its universal character and elegant finish, it served as a background for the paintings, showcasing them and adding to the final effect.
Exhibition took place at Clay.Warsaw, a unique creative space breaking away from the current studio and office standards. It’s a space which houses a professional, multifunctional photographic studio, venue for creative meetings and office space of three production agencies – Photoby, Menu and Analog/Digital. . It is a pre-war building in Burdzińskiego Street in Warsaw's Praga district, which used to be a military warehouse in the 1930s.
Fabric from the DEKOMA collection used in the session:
Pleasant to the touch, Spring is a knitted velour fabric with a noble gloss. Its 2.8-metre width makes it a perfect solution for an impressive window decoration or exceptionally noble bedspread. The fabric is a universal base for use in interior design. It is available in a wide range of 32 colours: shades of commercial grey, violet, pink and also azure. Jason (140 cm) is similar to Spring. We suggest to use the lining when sewing window decorations.
