Aria is a semi-transparent net curtain fabric woven from 100% natural flax fibres. This endows Aria with all the aesthetic and functional features typical of linen fabrics, e.g. it is breathable and suitable for allergy sufferers. As regards window decoration, the fabric will be best used on its own, with properly matched trimmings serving the role of ornamental details.
Aria has a regular, thick weave and visible, small yarn irregularities stemming from the fabric’s natural composition. The fabric’s height is 320 cm, which makes it a perfect choice for very high interiors. Aria comes in 9 light, natural colours associated with a linen cloth. As regards window decoration, the fabric will be best used on its own.
Window decorations made from Aria will be a great solution for interiors whose style emphasises the roughness of materials: rustic, Japandi, industrial, Scandinavian. It goes well with natural wood, brick, stone and architectural concrete. This linen fabric will perfectly align with the atmosphere of summer houses, guest houses and resort hotels.
LINEN
Like all linen fabrics, Aria is air permeable, breathable and allows for free air circulation. At the same time, it protects the interior against heating - flax fibres reflect heat and their high content of lignins blocks harmful UV radiation. A set of linen net curtains will provide relief in the summer heat. Linen used for window decor will be an excellent choice for allergy sufferers, as the fabric is not a sensitizer or skin irritant. Flax cultivation is free of harmful chemicals whose residues could then penetrate the fibres and negatively affect our health. Importantly, linen inhibits bacterial and fungal growth.
Flax is one of the most sustainable fibre crops to cultivate. It does not require any additional watering or pest control, it readily tolerates frost, periodic droughts or weather fluctuations. Furthermore, people can use every part of the mature plant: sharps and stems are used for the production of construction and insulation materials, seeds are pressed for oil and flax seed meal can be used as animal fodder.
